Fine Arts Program at Arroyo del Oso
 
 

Sarita is a Fine Arts teacher for Albuquerque Public Schools.  She has been at Arrroyo del Oso this semester.  She has an amazing talent for bringing amazing creativity from children.  Here are some examples of the literacy and art connections she taught recently to all classes.  Click here to view art work.

Jiwan Sarita means "River of Life."  Sarita was born in Singapore but moved to the Nepal Himalayan mountain village of Pokhara.  Sarita was selected as UNESCO Fellow in 1976, and traveled to India to work with schools.  Now an American citizen, Sarita lives in New Mexico and her work has been successfully shown throughout the Southwest.
