Meet Brownie, the Guinea Pig. He is a retired show pig. If you look closely, you will see a metal ring on his ear. This is on his ear so the judges can identify Brownie by a number and not his name or owner. They want to be fair!
Can you see the pretty tufts of fur on Brownie?
These are called Rosettes. The more Rosettes a guinea pig has, the
prettier he is judged. We have a winner!
The children take good care of Brownie. We make sure he is fed and given fresh water everyday. The children are learning to hold Brownie the proper way. He hates it when his legs dangle.
If you ever have a chance, come on in and say HI to Brownie, the Guinea Pig.
